If you came looking for Bizzabo

Considering Bizzabo? Here's what's different about Eventtia.

Same job, running enterprise event programs end-to-end. Different way of doing it, at a fraction of the cost.

  • Built for brand experiences, not just tech conferences. Luxury, hospitality, retail, B2B, creator programs — the formats Bizzabo's feature set wasn't designed for.
  • Published pricing, much lower entry. Eventtia Essential starts at a fraction of Bizzabo's published $17,999/year. No quote theater, no per-ticket fees.
  • An open, programmable API. Documented for engineers actually building on the platform, not just syncing data into a CRM.

How Eventtia compares · public pricing & reviews, 2026
The honest read

Four patterns we hear from teams searching for Bizzabo alternatives.

Convergent signals: public reviews across G2 (800+), Capterra, Software Advice, and TrustRadius, plus Bizzabo's own competitive comparisons. Same four themes, every time.

  1. 01 · Pricing

    Premium price. Premium minimum.

Bizzabo's published starting price is $17,999 per year, listed on third-party comparison sites like Software Advice and Capterra. That's the floor. The actual contract value for a real event program runs higher once smart-badge hardware (Klik), behavioral data add-ons, and hybrid production tooling enter the conversation. For B2B SaaS conferences with 1,000+ attendees and a dedicated event team, the math works. For most other event archetypes, the math is a stretch before discovery has even started.

"Bizzabo — starting price reported at $17,999 per year."

Software Advice · Capterra published listings
  2. 02 · Vertical fit

Built for the B2B tech conference, paid for either way.

Bizzabo's strongest pitches are wearable smart badges (Klik), AI-powered networking matchmaking, hybrid event production (TeeVid), and behavioral data capture. These are real, well-built, and expensive. They're also designed for one specific event archetype: the 500-to-2,000-attendee B2B SaaS user conference. If you're running a luxury brand activation, a retail program, a hospitality experience, a creator dinner, or any event where networking-matchmaking-and-smart-badges aren't the point, you're paying premium for capabilities you won't deploy.

"Great platform for the actual live event, lots of customization available, a true all-in-one event management platform. Can be quite confusing and overwhelming with all of the different options available."

Software Advice reviewer · December 2024
  3. 03 · Setup complexity

The same critique that bites Cvent, in a sleeker UI.

Bizzabo's modern UX is real, and the platform genuinely looks like it was designed this decade. The depth of capabilities means setup is still heavier than the marketing suggests. Multiple-area updates, training overhead, and the cognitive load of an "all-in-one" surface area all show up in user reviews. The cost isn't visible at signing; it's visible at week three of the implementation.

"Very lengthy process to set up an event and any change in information needs to be updated in multiple areas, increasing the room for errors."

    Capterra reviewer · August 2025
  4. 04 · API depth

An API for data sync, not for building on.

Bizzabo's API does the standard integration work well: pulling attendee data into your CRM, syncing speaker profiles, posting registration events to webhooks. It was designed for the era when "integration" meant systems-talking-to-systems. For teams that want to build on the platform — custom workflows, agency-side multi-tenant setups, internal tools that extend beyond a CRM sync — the surface area was never the priority. The API isn't bad. It's narrow by design.

For the record

What Bizzabo is genuinely good at.

For credibility's sake, the honest wins. If you're running a 500-to-2,000-attendee B2B tech user conference and behavioral data from smart badges is part of the brief, Bizzabo is a strong choice. The rest of this page is for everyone else.

B2B tech conferences

Bizzabo's wheelhouse. SaaS user conferences, developer events, partner summits, field-marketing programs. The whole platform was designed around this archetype and it serves it well.

Klik smart badges & AI matchmaking

The wearable smart-badge product (Klik) and the AI-powered networking matchmaking are genuine differentiators if behavioral data capture and intent-driven introductions matter to your event format.

Procurement brand recognition

Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader in 2024 and 2025. Forrester recognition. Enterprise procurement teams already know the name. If procurement clearance is your blocker, this matters.

What we do instead

Same job. Different way of doing it.

Eventtia runs the same event programs Bizzabo runs, designed around a much wider range of event archetypes and an entry point that's a fraction of Bizzabo's published floor.

  1. 01 · Pricing

Published, attendee-based, a fraction of the floor.

Eventtia Essential starts at $1,650 / year for 250 attendees. The full pricing matrix is on the page, all three plans, three currencies, eleven attendee tiers. No quote-by-quote pricing, no per-ticket fees, no surface-after-signature add-ons. For most event programs the published number is what you pay; for the largest enterprise programs there's a transparent path to scale up the same plan.

Essential plan: from $1,650 / year. Full matrix at /pricing/.
  2. 02 · Vertical fit

Built for brand experiences, across verticals.

Cartier, Nike, Sony, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, Ralph Lauren, Pernod Ricard, Nestlé. Luxury, sportswear, consumer electronics, jewelry, fashion, hospitality, retail. The customer list shape tells the architecture story: Eventtia was designed for the event formats Bizzabo's feature set wasn't designed for. You're not paying for smart-badge hardware or B2B-conference matchmaking when your event is a press preview, a private boutique opening, or a creator dinner.

    Customers across luxury · retail · hospitality · B2B · creator · sports.
  3. 03 · Setup speed

One platform. One UI. First event live in days.

Registration, communications, on-site check-in, mobile-web app, analytics, all built as a single platform with one logic and one learning curve. New event managers ship their first event in days, not weeks. URL stubs for QR-codable event pages can be published the same day we get on the call. No multi-area updates, no propagating changes across modules.

Onboarding 2-3 weeks · first event live the same week · same UI everywhere.
  4. 04 · API depth

An open, programmable API. Built for builders.

Eventtia's API is documented step-by-step, with surface area covering registration creation, session management, attendee actions, payments, and reporting. Real teams build real custom workflows on it: internal tools that go beyond CRM sync, integration partners shipping production features, brand teams shaping registration to fit their own logic. The API was built for the engineer who wants to build, not just for the integration platform that wants to pull data. As AI agents enter the picture, that same surface area is what makes an MCP server feasible — but that's the tailwind, not the headline.

For reference: Bizzabo's published starting price of $17,999 per year is sourced from Software Advice and Capterra listings, not from bizzabo.com (which directs every pricing inquiry to a sales conversation). For a 1,000-attendee program, Eventtia Essential sits roughly five times below that floor — before the conversation turns to hardware, hybrid production, or any of Bizzabo's premium feature stacks. Same feature parity isn't the claim; right-sized feature fit is.
